Job Description

This full-time customer service position requires outstanding people skills, high energy and a positive attitude. Answering phone/email inquiries, taking and following up on service requests from customers, coordinating orders with sales and engineering personnel, basic computer skills, and being warm, helpful, pleasant and responsive to coworkers and customers are critical aspects of the job. This is an important position as you are often the first point of contact with our customers. A positive, friendly and helpful attitude is a must. Please enjoy working with and helping people.


Hours

Monday-Friday 10-7pm.


Requirements
  • Great with people - warm, friendly and helpful in person and on the phone
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail
  • Excellent reconciling and problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office/ Outlook) and strong typing ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience a plus

The Senior Cisco Network Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Implementing, supporting, and maintaining 24x7 network services serving as one of the highest levels of escalation for network and security issues.
  • Responsible for ongoing recommendations of network policies and standards.
  • Act as architect responsible for capacity planning and configuration assessments for our routers, switches, network appliances, host, and other communication devices.
  • Ability to manage multiple large scale projects in a fast paced environment and provide leadership other members of the team.
  • Be able to turn business problems into technical solutions.
  • Managing configurations and the deployment of equipment in compliance with established policies.
  • Ability to recommend technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and reporting of network performance issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining system and network availability and monitoring of services.
  • Maintain the appropriate relationships with 3rd party vendors and evaluate vendor hardware, software, and communications products and to provide recommendations for purchases with our corporate objectives in mind.

Qualifications:
  • Candidate will have a current CCNP and working towards CCIE.
  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, preference given to those with experience in the hosting industry; must have the ability to lead others.
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP; including PPP, VRRP, HSRP, BGP, IGRP/EIGRP, NAT, QoS, and SNMP, VOIP, Ethernet.
  • Expert experience with Cisco routers and switches, Cisco PIX/ASA, Checkpoint firewalls, Nokia, Cisco and Nortel load balancers.
  • Expert in Voice and Data network design and maintenance (Cisco Call Manager)
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge in VPN Technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of network monitoring and other network administrative tools.

12 hour rotating shifts, 3 days on/3 off. 1st and 2nd Shifts Available

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st level Technical Service support for web hosting customers.
    • Answering phones and e-mail in a timely manner.
    • Documenting the call and ensuring accurate information is captured.

  • Manage and take ownership of the resolution process for all customer related issues.
    • Follow the correct troubleshooting procedures to ensure proper and timely resolution.
    • Make timely calls/emails to the customer to ensure they are informed of the status and the expected resolution of the issue. Document accordingly.

  • Identify and escalate obstacles influencing timely resolution to customer requests.
  • Maintain expected service levels.
  • Maintain and build on proficiency with tools needed to perform your daily functions.
  • Develop expertise in the tools and FWHN products/services that will lead to shorter resolution times.
  • Adhere to proper escalation policies keeping severity levels accurate and management awareness.
  • Perform other assignments requested by the manager.
  • On call weekend support twice per month.
