I just wanted to drop a note to say thanks for your assistance with setting up our WSS server. Your technical support has been very responsive and extremely knowledgeable. We have had some bad experiences with hosting in the past and your level of support so far has been very refreshing. On the occasion we get to recommend such services we will definitely recommend your company.
You may experience one or both of the
following symptoms when you use Microsoft Office
FrontPage 2003 to edit pages in your portal site:
When you save the portal site home
page in FrontPage, the "SharePoint Portal Server"
watermark is missing from the page.
When you click
My Site, and then you
save the My Site home page or any page that uses the
"My Site" watermark in FrontPage, the watermark is
missing from the page.
WORKAROUND
To resolve this issue, do one of the
following (as appropriate to your situation):
Manually add the watermarks to the
pages that you saved in FrontPage.
-or-
Copy the watermarks from the
appropriate file on the server to the page that you
saved in FrontPage. To do so, follow these steps:
You can copy the "SharePoint
Portal Server" watermark from the following file on
the server to the page that you saved in FrontPage:
C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
Extensions\60\Template\1033\SPS\default.aspx
You can copy the "My Site"
watermark from the following file on the server to
the page that you saved in FrontPage:
C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
Extensions\60\Template\1033\Spsmsite\default.aspx
Note
This the default installation location of the
Default.aspx files for the portal site home page and
the My Site home page in SharePoint Portal Server. The
path of these files may be different on your server.
