How do I transfer an existing domain name?

If you have already registered your domain name elsewhere, Fpweb.net will try to assist you in transferring your domain to us. The transfer process depends on the registrar with whom you registered your domain name.

Registars such as Verisign, Register.com, Bulkregister.com, Registerfly.com, Godaddy.com and Namesecure.com request that you log in to their systems, using the login and password they assigned you, and transfer the domain name yourself. Once you log in, you will come across a link that allows you to change your nameserver information.

We strongly encourage you to make Fpweb.net the technical contact on the NIC whois. You still have full control and ownership of the domain name. By adding us as the technical contact, we are alerted to any problems with your domain name and can often minimize or prevent service interruption.
