Data Security: Best Practices in the Hybrid Cloud Webinar

(This webinar is currently available to view for free on-demand: DATA SECURITY: BEST PRACTICES IN THE HYBRID CLOUD)

When clouds collide, is your data safe?

On Thursday, July 24th, 2014, at 11am (EST), is teaming up with CipherPoint to present a free hybrid cloud webinar entitled Data Security: Best Practices in the Hybrid Cloud.

Yes, we’ve lined up another great partner webinar for the end of July, and we hope you can join us as we explore the topic of data security when utilizing a private and a public cloud offering.

Who’s running the webinar:

When dealing with security issues in the cloud, we often confer with one of our premier SharePoint partners, CipherPoint. We typically engage their services when regulating, encrypting, controlling or preventing access or privileges to sensitive data, so they were the obvious choice for our upcoming webinar topic (as chosen by our past webinar attendees) that focuses on data security. (It helps that they were named a top security company in 2012, as well!)

What’s the webinar about:

Essentially, you need to be treating your private and public clouds differently. This webinar will focus specifically on the security of an Office 365 and Dedicated (private) cloud hybrid model and will also explore what organizations need to consider when mapping out their confidentiality and availability implications of their SharePoint in each cloud offering.

Along with disaster recovery and mapping out your business continuity plans, assessing the security around your data is a critical piece in protecting your hosted SharePoint environment. Cyber and physical attacks can cripple your business and they can come from any direction – whether it’s a hacker or a rogue employee. Companies must move beyond just protecting their physical location and start safeguarding their data at the application level.

What can you expect to learn:

This webinar will walk through several aspects of data security, specifically data residency, your ability to perform your own risk assessments and due diligence, and the confidentiality/availability agreements that you must comb through with your cloud provider.

Besides learning the best practices to protect your data, you’ll also discover how to meet your specific security objectives for your business.

Whether you’re in the private or public cloud (or both), your sensitive data and restricted information needs to be protected at all costs.

We hope you can join us for this short, to-the-point webinar. As always, our Fpwebinars take around twenty minutes to get their point across and then we open up the presentation for your questions. At this point, you’ll be able to get specific answers to your unique situations. Throughout the webinar you can tweet your questions using the hashtag Fpwebinar, or you can use our Go-to-webinar chat window to ask the question that we will get to at the end.

What can you win:

And because we enjoy giving stuff away, one lucky attendee will win a copy of Windows 8 Professional software (a $199.99 value). All you have to do is be present throughout the entire webinar to qualify.

We hope to see you there!

Remember, we create our webinars around the topics that you choose, so be sure to fill out the survey at the end of each webinar to let us know what cloud or SharePoint subject you’d like to learn more about!
