SharePoint Saturday – Coming to a City Near You

Saturdays aren’t just for barbecuing, housework and college football anymore. For the past couple years, SharePoint Saturday events have been popping up in cities all over the country and the world.  If you haven’t attended one yourself, let me give you the rundown.  They are free events for anyone involved in SharePoint: architects, developers and admins alike.  Sounds pretty great, right?

Why Should I Attend?

Networking: SharePoint Saturdays are a chance for you to meet other local SharePoint folks and catch up with those you already know.  Plus it’s always nice to put a face with a twitter username! If you can’t get enough SharePoint chit-chat throughout the day, many of the events even organize SharePints for Saturday evenings.

Educational Sessions: Learn from the best…for free!  SharePoint MVPs and other respected members of the community host sessions on everything from best practices to architecture.  This is a great way to educate yourself and stay fresh on the latest and greatest in SharePoint.

Sponsors: At each event, you’re able to stroll around the sponsor booths and learn about what each company has to offer.  Maybe you’ve already been considering a product or service (like a company hosting SharePoint for you)… or maybe you don’t even know you need it yet.  If nothing else, make sure you pick up some cool swag!

Find a SharePoint Saturday Near You

Whether you live in Cleveland or Dubai, chances are there is an event somewhere near you.  Check the SharePoint Saturday homepage or join the SharePoint Saturday mailing list to find out where they’ll be next.  We hope to see you there!
